Job Description:
The Supervisor supports Friends of Youth's mission by overseeing
day-to-day operations and supervising employees at Bridge Pointe
and support Youth Haven. This program provides short-term, 24/7
residential support to young adults (ages 18-24) transitioning from
inpatient behavioral health care into community-based housing. The
Supervisor ensures a trauma-informed, young adult-driven, and
healing-centered approach is integrated across all aspects of
service delivery. This role supports a multidisciplinary
team-including Youth Specialists, Certified Peer Counselors, and
Case Managers-and ensures program activities align with agency
policies, clinical standards, and regulatory compliance. essential
duties Supervisory and Development Tasks
- Provide daily oversight of program operations, ensuring safe,
consistent, and high-quality service delivery in accordance with
contract requirements and agency standards.
- Maintain strong working relationships with behavioral health
providers, discharge planners, case managers, and internal
departments.
- Ensure new employees are properly onboarded, trained in
appropriate documentation, and acquire skills consistent with
agency policies, collective bargaining agreements, and contract
requirements.
- Provide employees with regular verbal and written feedback on
their performance and alternative problem resolution methods.
- Partner with the Program Manager to support the implementation
of program goals, evaluation, strategic scheduling, employee
retention, and quality improvement efforts.
- Attend agency or professional training, seminars, or
conferences to enhance professional knowledge. Client Focused
Tasks
- Model trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and young
adult-centered engagement with young adults and employees.
- Provide direct support and crisis intervention as needed, using
de-escalation techniques aligned with agency training and best
practices.
- Support young adults in navigating transitions from inpatient
behavioral health care to independent or supported living, ensuring
continuity of care and connection to services.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate care planning and
service delivery that reflects the goals and needs of each young
adult.
- Facilitate client centered conversations that build trust,
promote autonomy, and support goal setting in alignment with
individualized service plans.
- Promote young adult voice and engagement in shaping program
offerings and community activities, supporting a healing-centered,
and empowering environment.
- Participate in discharge planning and case transitions to
ensure smooth handoffs and maintain supportive relationships during
program exits. Record Keeping and Safety Tasks
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of records, incident
reports, logs, and shift summaries using agency systems (e.g.,
Salesforce).
- Participate in audits, data reporting, and continuous quality
improvement (CQI) activities.
- Uphold agency policies related to safety, privacy, licensing,
and mandated reporting.
- Support compliance with Washington State Health Care Authority
requirements, Department of Health regulations, and internal agency

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, public health, or
related field required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience working in housing,
shelter, or behavioral health programs
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory required, preferably in
residential or clinical settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS365 Power Platform. b. Additional

- Must satisfactorily pass criminal history check.
- Must satisfactorily pass tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Washington State
driver's license (or be able to obtain one by date of
employment).
- Employees and volunteers who operate their own or Friends of
Youth vehicles on Friends of Youth business, must have a safe
driving record as defined by Friends of Youth.
- Must successfully complete the following health certification
requirements within 30 days of employment: CPR, First Aid and
Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required.
