Product Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.Product Software Engineering Manager ResponsibilitiesBe both highly technical and an effective people managerBe a subject matter expert in a product domainLead teams that deliver on multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact areaWork with your team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategyDrive roadmap creation and executionCollaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives and have an impact at an organizational levelParticipate in technical designMeasure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goalsWork effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomesPartner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution and prioritizationMinimum Qualifications8+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management building holistic web based software solution, API design, and interactions between servers and clients8+ years experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, Python and/or PHP2+ years of experience developing, coaching, and managing engineering leadersBA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience)Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance managementFor those who live in or expect to work from California if hired for this position, please click here for additional information.About MetaMeta builds technologies that help people connect, find communities, and grow businesses.
