Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a full-time Occupational Therapist to support an elementary school caseload located in Spanaway, WA. This contract position is scheduled to begin on January 29, with the end date to be determined and spans the current school year (CSY). The role primarily focuses on delivering occupational therapy services to approximately 51 elementary-aged students. Key Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy interventions tailored to the needs of elementary school students Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to promote student progress Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and procedures Support students in developing motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence Desired Qualifications: Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant state certifications Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention delivery Knowledge of educational team collaboration and Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes Effective communication skills with both students and multidisciplinary teams Location: Spanaway, Washington Benefits: Full-time contract position with a consistent school-year schedule Opportunity to work directly within the school environment Supportive multidisciplinary team Opportunity to impact student development and academic success Qualified occupational therapists looking to contribute their expertise to an elementary school setting are encouraged to apply promptly to discuss next steps.
