Patient Care Tech Location: Coupeville, WA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,353 per week Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position Job Title: Patient Care Technician Profession: Patient Care Technician Specialty: Patient Care Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 2 years of experience in an acute hospital setting License: State license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in acute care hospital setting - Ability to assist with patient care responsibilities - Strong communication skills Description: Locals are allowed. First-time travelers are accepted. Block scheduling is available and willing to discuss during the interview. The schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours per day, with mid shift hours. Every other weekend is required. No call is required. Floating is required as needed within the scope of practice. Certifications required include BLS. Skills required include knowledge of vital sign parameters for adults and pediatrics. Assisting with ambulation, feeding, and hygiene are essential duties. Experience with electronic medical record systems is required. Ability to report changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team. Familiarity with proper body mechanics and safe patient transfers is necessary. Knowledge of isolation precautions and infection control protocols is essential. Patient care tasks will include monitoring and recording vital signs. Care responsibilities will encompass various age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The unit will have a daily census of approximately 17 patients across 25 rooms. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and other support staff. The patient ratio will be 8 patients per caregiver during shifts. Special procedures and equipment may be utilized as part of care delivery.
