Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Silverdale,
Washington, 98383! Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Hours
per Week Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP; Intermediate or Advanced FHM
preferred Must-Have: Must have LDRP experience. Must be comfortable
attending deliveries independently and circulating in C-sections.
Must be comfortable assisting with catching the baby and
transitioning the baby. 2 years of experience required, but will
consider someone with 1 year of experience if they have multiple
prior travel experiences. RNs are required to titrate drips,
including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin. Labor Travelers need to
function in Postpartum with routine mom and baby competencies.
Labor Travelers also need to be able to transition babies and
attend low risk deliveries. Description: The unit has a total of 34
beds for Labor and Delivery. There are 2 OR suites for C-sections
and 2 triage beds available. The postpartum area has 14 beds. On
average, the unit sees 150-180 births per month, totaling 2,133
deliveries in 2022. The nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN
guidelines, which are 1:2 for Labor and Delivery and 1:3-4 for
couplets. A surgical tech is present 24/7, along with a patient
care assistant with clerical duties on each shift. An
Client/hospitalist and a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner are in-house
24/7. OB anesthesia providers are also available in-house 24/7. RT
equipment such as vents and CPAP/BiPAP is available. The tele
monitors used in the unit are Centricity-perinatal for electronic
fetal monitoring. Block scheduling is available upon request.
Weekend requirements consist of every other weekend for night
shifts. There is a rotation for holiday requirements with permanent
staff. When placed on standby, the response time is 45 minutes.
Nurses are not required to float outside the department. Scrubs are
provided by the unit. The manager provides feedback and encourages
staff to be open and adaptable to workflows, policies, and
procedures. The charting system used is Epic. 5 Benefits of Travel
