Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: RN

of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP;
Intermediate or Advanced FHM preferred Must-Have: - Must have LDRP
experience. - Must be comfortable attending deliveries
independently and circulating in C-sections. - Must be capable of
assisting with catching baby and transitioning baby. - Must have
two years of experience; consideration for one year if multiple
prior travel experiences are present. Description: This position
involves working in a birthing center. The unit has 34 L&D beds
and two OR suites for C-sections. There are two triage beds and 14
postpartum beds. An average of 150-180 births occur monthly, with
2,133 deliveries recorded in 2022. The ratio for labor and delivery
is 1:2, and for couplets, it is 1:3-4. RNs are required to titrate
drips, including magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin. A surgical tech
is available 24/7, along with a patient care assistant with
clerical duties on each shift. OB hospitalists and NNPs are present
in-house 24/7 to assist with patient triaging and emergent cases.
An anesthesia provider is available around the clock. All RNs must
work comfortably in both labor and delivery and postpartum
settings. Travelers are expected to be flexible and adaptable to
the unit's workflows, policies, and feedback from management. The
manager emphasizes ensuring all staff provide quality care and
encourages open communication. Effective communication and
compliance with protocols are essential in this role.
