Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Silverdale, Washington, 98383! Pay
Information $2,782 per week About The Position Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours
per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Must have Labor and
Delivery experience. Must be comfortable attending deliveries
independently and circulating in C-sections. Must be able to assist
with catching babies and transitioning newborns. Experience with
high-risk patients is essential. Experience in a birthing center or
mother-baby unit is preferred. Description: The unit features a
total of 34 Labor and Delivery beds. There are 2 OR suites
available for C-sections and 2 triage beds. An average of 150-180
births occur each month. The nurse-to-patient ratio follows AWHONN
guidelines of 1:2 for Labor and Delivery and 1:3-4 for couplets.
RNs are required to titrate drips, including Magnesium, Pitocin,
and Insulin. A charge nurse is present, free of the assignment
load, for both shifts. One surgical tech and a patient care
assistant are available on each shift. An Client/Hospitalist is
on-site 24/7, assisting with triaging patients and handling
emergent cases. A Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is also available in
the nursery around the clock. An anesthesia provider is present
24/7 for care needs. All RNs will be able to work with respiratory
equipment. The electronic fetal monitoring system used is
Centricity-perinatal. Block scheduling is available upon request.
Weekend requirements include working every other weekend on nights.
Holidays will be rotated in with permanent staff. There is a
standby requirement with a response time of 45 minutes. Floating is
limited to the mother-baby and postpartum units, with no floating
to NICU. Scrubs will be provided, and a locker is available for
personal belongings. Additional training includes an 8-hour
compliance day and 2-3 shifts for unit-specific orientation. The
management team is supportive and emphasizes feedback for quality
