Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: MRI Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of acute care experience, ARRT certification, and IV skills for a 13-week contract. Responsibilities - Position is based in an acute care setting within the MRI department - Work with a variety of equipment including GE 1.5T & 3T at the main hospital and Philips, Hitachi at outpatient clinics - Handle a caseload averaging 28 scans per day, including brain, spine, chest, abdomen, pelvis, breast, cardiac, prostate, MSK, and patients with implanted devices - Shifts are Friday through Sunday from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with participation in standby and holiday rotations - Use Epic and Sectra PACS for charting and image management - Floating to other areas may occur based on operational needs - Perform a wide range of imaging studies including advanced and specialized MRIs and preparation for patients with implanted devices - Radiology aides provide support to MRI technologists - Radiologist is on-site for immediate consultation - Department-specific orientation is provided - Must participate in the holiday rotation and standby as needed - Personal scrubs required, as hospital-provided scrubs are for OR staff only - N95 fit testing is required Requirements - Minimum 2 years of MRI technologist experience in an acute care setting - Active ARRT certification required; ARRT(MR) preferred - Current BLS certification required - IV insertion skills required - Washington State Radiologic Technologist license required if ARRT is in X-Ray or CT - License required if applicable Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628920.
