Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Silverdale, Washington. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level II NICU/Special Care Nursery position requiring WA or compact licensure and competence in neonatal and postpartum couplet care. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Level II NICU/Special Care Nursery within an acute care hospital - Unit has 10 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1-3 depending on acuity - Patient population includes neonates with low birth weight, prematurity, respiratory and hemodynamic issues, bubble CPAP, tube feeds, and substance exposure - Typical drips administered include TPN and lipids - 12-hour night shifts from 1900-0730, with every other weekend required - No on-call responsibilities - May float to Mother Baby unit as needed - Epic EMR is used, with orientation provided if needed - Respiratory therapist and neonatal nurse practitioner staff are in-house 24/7 - Scrubs are provided - Will provide specialized care to neonates requiring complex interventions and stabilization - Expected to attend deliveries and manage care for both high and low risk newborns - Friendly unit with active feedback and supportive management - RNs are expected to be open to adapting to unit workflows, policies, and procedures - Unit-specific orientation includes compliance, Epic EMR training, and supported unit shadow shifts - Holiday shifts will rotate with permanent staff - No nurse aids or patient care techs on the unit - First time travelers with strong NICU experience will be considered /n /n Requirements/n - Active WA or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of Level II NICU experience - Current BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications are required - Demonstrated competence in neonatal couplet care and ability to attend high and low risk deliveries - Experience stabilizing and transitioning newborns - Epic charting experience preferred but not required - Must be comfortable using vents, bubble CPAP, and high flow equipment - Must submit two professional references (one supervisor within the last year, and one peer or supervisor within the last three years) with dates of employment and rehire eligibility - Copy of driver’s license required for consideration /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-628303.
