Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/03/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry position on a new acute care unit requiring a WA or compact RN license and recent acute care experience. Responsibilities - Work in the North Tower 8 Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital - Unit has 18 beds and serves medical-surgical overflow patients including CHF, DM, UTI, non-critical sepsis, HTN, COPD, isolation, end-of-life, and post-op from general surgery - Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:4 or 1:5 - Required to titrate Heparin and Cardizem infusions (maximum 10mg/hr for Cardizem) - Utilizes Epic EMR; prior Epic experience preferred - 12-hour night shifts with weekend coverage based on unit needs - Floating to other units may be required - No on-call responsibilities - 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided - CPAP and BiPAP equipment used; no high-flow oxygen - This is a brand new department opening in December - Nurse aides are present on the unit with a 1:9 ratio - No specific scrub color required per manager - Holiday coverage may be required as discussed during interview - First-time travelers are accepted - Candidates may not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities within the past year Requirements - Active WA or compact RN license required; must be active at the time of consideration - BLS (AHA) certification required - Minimum of 2 years' RN experience, including at least 1 year in acute care - Experience with telemetry, titrating Heparin and Cardizem drips, and reading cardiac strips is required - Must provide a copy of driver's license for consideration - Must submit two references: one supervisor from within the last 12 months, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-617488.
