Language Access Program Manager (Term-Limited Temporary/Special Duty Assignment)Salary: $100,568.00 - $127,462.40 AnnuallyDescriptionSummary:WHO MAY APPLY: This role is available as a Term-Limited Temporary (TLT) or Special Duty Assignment (SDA) position.Duration: This is a 24-month, benefits- and retirement-eligible position.--- TLT positions are open to everyone, including the public. We at King County celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.--- SDA positions are for current King County employees in career service or appointed positions who are past their probationary period.About the Role:We are looking for a dedicated project manager to lead our department-wide Language Access services project at the King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO). This role directly impacts our community by developing and implementing a Language Access Program (LAP), ensuring effective communication and access to KCSO services for everyone we serve.WORK LOCATION: While primarily based at the King County Courthouse in Seattle, or designated King County work location, flexibility is needed as per project requirements.WORK SCHEDULE: Expect a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening or weekend events.Teleworking Requirement: The work associated with this position may be performed through a combination of telework and onsite. You must reside in Washington state and within a reasonable distance of your King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements.Requirements:Job Duties:What You'll Be Doing:In this role, you will play a pivotal role in serving our diverse communities. Here is a snapshot of what you will tackle:--- Lead and shape our Language Access Program (LAP): Driving the development and rollout of this initiative to ensure equal access to services.--- Understand and address community needs: Identify languages spoken and services needed.--- Craft and execute project plans: Guide the ongoing evolution of the project.--- Policy and training development: Set the standard for language services and provide ongoing training.--- Monitoring and evaluation: Analyze data, report on progress, and adjust the program as needed.--- Community outreach: Build connections with community partners and manage feedback.--- Team leadership: Support the team and develop a worksite liaison program.--- Be our voice: Represent the program to the public and community groups.Qualifications:Your Skills and Experience Matter to Us:We are on the lookout for someone who is passionate about making a difference.
