Job Description:
Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our
mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to
customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual
households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government
agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating
in locations without reliable connectivity. A Radiation Effects
Test Engineer will be responsible for supporting all aspects of
radiation testing. This includes, working with design and radiation
effects engineers to write test plans, develop hardware and test
scripts for test targets and equipment, dry-run test hardware, and
travel to test facilities to conduct testing. The candidate will
work closely with radiation effects engineers in reviewing
post-test data, creating documentation, developing tools to
increase access to data, and working with hardware designers to
develop mitigation strategies. Export Control Requirement: Due to
applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be
a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current
Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee
or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities • Work with design and
radiation engineers to develop radiation test plans on electronic
components • Coordinate with internal teams and 3rd party vendors
and laboratories to prepare components for radiation test • Conduct
radiation testing on electronic components and satellite hardware
at heavy ion, proton, and gamma irradiation facilities. • Develop
processes for managing component and satellite hardware test
results documentation - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
or a related field - Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R,
etc.) - 6 months or more of experience or relevant
internship/coursework in hardware development or test engineering -
Experience using common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes,
power supplies, function generators, etc) - Master's degree or
Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field -
Experience using data visualization tools - Knowledge of AWS
platforms such as S3, Glue, Athena, Sagemaker - Experience in
radiation effects testing for Total Ionizing Dose (TID) and Single
Event Effects (SEE) - Experience with NASA, Defense or Commercial

this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include
sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final
compensation will be determined based on factors including
experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers
