Job Description Job Description Salary: $20 with opportunity to
advance to $23 Pool Cover Technician in Training Job Summary: The
Service Technician will provide technical expertise and custom
support to homeowners and builders through installations, repairs,
and estimates. This role will operate out of our new site in
Snohomish, WA. Duties/Responsibilities: Provides cost estimates to
homeowners and builders. Loads/unloads materials and tools
from/onto trucks. Confirms services to be performed prior to
service appointments. Delivers, installs, upgrades, cleans,
maintains, dismantles, and/or repairs pool covers and related
components. Tests equipment to troubleshoot issues. Clean up job
site after each completed job. Documents all installations and
repairs. Teaching customers how to use the equipment properly for
pool cover maintenance. Explains the cost of parts and labor to
customers. Maintains all tools, equipment used during service
calls. Maintains the stock of replacement parts and equipment in
service truck. Keeps the service truck clean and reports needed
maintenance. Performs all work in such a way that it demonstrates a
high level of quality service and communication to customers.
Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to learn pool cover installation
and repair procedures. Problem-solving skills to diagnose problems
with malfunctioning equipment. Time-management skills to handle
appointments efficiently and stay on schedule Attention to detail
to spot issues and complete accurate reports about the repairs.
Organizational skills to keep tools and paperwork organized while
in the field. Computer and technical skills to understand the
equipment fully. Mechanical ability and understanding of fitment of
materials. Written and verbal communication skills to understand
issues customers have and to explain technical information to
customers in clear terms in a professional manner. Must be able to
speak English well enough to support safety, quality work, and ease
of the work. Must be able to read part descriptions, job notes and
instructions, work schedules, and other work-related information in
English. Must be able to use protective equipment, hand tools,
power tools, and other equipment safely. Must be able to work
safely around water of depths exceeding 7 feet. Must wear
company-provided uniform. Ability to safely lift up to 75 lbs.
Ability to work with both small objects requiring dexterity (such
as small screws and mechanical parts) in awkward positions, as well
as moving large, heavy, or awkward objects into position (such as
pool covers, motors, mechanisms, boxes, etc.). If driving
responsibilities are assigned, the employee must be able to drive
safely, maintain a driving record acceptable to company standards,
and not perform work under the influence of substance misuse. Must
be able to safely detect and avoid workplace hazards. Work
Environment: The majority of the work is done outside in the
elements. Exposure to harsh weather and temperatures for long
periods of time. Slippery and/or wet surfaces. The majority of the
work is done in a construction environment around occasional sounds
over 115 dBA. Some warehouse work.
